Show Only Unread Email in GMail

| September 7, 2010 | 0 Comments

So you just setup a ton of filters in GMail to separate the clutter from your precious inbox. The next step is to read and/or delete all of the emails in your inbox which have managed to “slip through the cracks” over the years. The inbox can be filtered to show only unread email by typing the following string in to the search bar:

GMail - Filter Unread Emails

in:inbox label:unread

The string is fairly self-explanatory, as it essentially returns only the unread emails located in the inbox. Use this method along with custom filters to keep your unread emails low and inbox operating efficiently!
